Moving along this week, I thought I’d drop ‘What Happens in Reno’ by Mike Monson.
Great story–if you like a kind of foul crime story–I enjoyed this one, but felt that I needed to wash my hands after reading it?
I’d seen this one making the rounds on Twitter and Facebook for a while and had never really read any of this authors stuff. Since the story starts out just a hundred or so miles north of where I live, I figured that I’d give this one a try? I bought the thing when it sold for $2.99 and have since seen it at .99.
From the opening pages I was in all the way and was able to finish the story in a couple of sittings.
Not wanting to give anything away here…I’ll just say that if you like a hard hitting crime read with a kick in the balls, this ones for you. For a buck you won’t find a better piece of central California noir.
